I like the Angels (picked 'em to win the WS before the season), but I'll take the A's. Some interesting pitching matchups, but I think the A's have the advantage. And they're at home. Either way, it should be a great series.

Well, looks like my gut feeling is doing all the works so far, Angels leading the A's 9-0 in the 8th. Assuming the A's will lose this game, they will have to win the next two games to win it.

I think its safe to say Rick Peterson got everything possible out of that staff- now, if Mulder, Zito, AND Hudson all somehow find the touch next year, I'll concede that I was wrong.

The Oakland A's pitching staff is nothing remarkable without Peterson- there, I said it. Since I'm lazy, I'll give you a few stats and let you guess if the stats are for 2003 or 2004

                Mulder- 4.43 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 83 BB
                3.13 ERA, 3.13 WHIP, 40 BB

Zito- 4.54 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, .268 Batting Average Agains (BAA)
                3.30 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, .219 BAA

                Hudson- 3.57 ERA, .271 BAA, 97 Ks, 1.29 WHIP
                2.70 ERA, .223 BAA, 162 Ks, 1.08 WHIP
