    Bowa fired

    Just heard about it on CBS. Larry Bowa fired from the Philliies.

      Wait til there's two games left, then fire him. We can still save our season!


      The Phils organization is a disgrace. GM Ed Wade is the one that needs to go.

              This isn't surprising but it seems from everything I hear on here and in the media the Phils are a mess. I'm sure Bowa will resurface somewhere else in the Bigs maybe as a coach tho.

              Wonder if they'll bring up Mike Schmidt to manage as a PR ploy? I know he wants to manage the Phils some day but he only just started managing.

                  This isn't surprising but it seems from everything I hear on here and in the media the Phils are a mess. I'm sure Bowa will resurface somewhere else in the Bigs maybe as a coach tho.

                  Wonder if they'll bring up Mike Schmidt to manage as a PR ploy? I know he wants to manage the Phils some day but he only just started managing.

                      Schmidt stepped down from his managerial job in the minors. I don't think he's gonna manage the Phils.

                      I agree with wha Sully said. Also, my personal choice for manager would be AAA manager Marc Bombard, who is currently the winningest active minor league manager.

                              actually...bowa forced his hand because he wanted to know if he was gone or not and he figured the sooner the better..in any event it was a sorry season
