you guys are correct when saying lew ford is not eligible for the AL ROY. Its too bad to, because I think he would have won it/if not made it a fun race to watch. My picks are:

        NL MVP: Bonds
        NL CY: Clemens
NL Roy: Khalil Greene (I am a sucker for defense)
        NL Comeback: Jaret Wright
NL Manager: Bobby Cox (However I think Phil Garner deserves some credit for what he has done with the Astros albeit in only 1/2 a season which is why Cox deserves it)

        AL MVP: Ramirez
        AL Cy: Johan
        AL Roy: Crosby
        AL Comeback: Jon Lieber
AL Manager: Buck Schowalter (sp?) ( I think Gardy deserves a little more credit than he gets but is just not as deserving as Buck)

Getting to 16 wins was crucial for RJ, and I think he will probably win the title, especially with Clemens not going today, but I have to wonder if a different player, a player not named Randy Johnson, gets consideration even with such a mediocre win total-- a player like Ben Sheets for instance, but I digress... he's Randy Johnson and he's 41 and he threw a perfect game and he's got awesome numbers, and two more wins than loses. No starting pitcher has ever won the CY YOUNG with such a comparably low win total, but there's a first time for everything.
Just so I don't look like a flip-flopper here's a quote from the discussion you referenced:

Without an ERA in the low 2.00's or 20 wins I just don't see how RJ can win it. His only outside shot is to squeeze out three more wins (he'd end up 16-13 and he has about 4 starts left) and strike out 300.
He got the 16 wins I made reference to and struck out 290. I remembered the comments I made and that's the reason I finally ended up going with RJ for the Cy Young.

                On another note......

Eligibility requirements were set forth in 1971 and a rookie was formally defined as a player with less than one-hundred thirty at-bats, a pitcher with less than fifty innings pitched, or anyone with less than forty-five days on any Major League roster.
After reading Ford's Bio it looks as if he was on the Twins ML roster for more than 45 days last year (although he did get less than 130 AB's). He had an injury last year that caused him to miss a significant amount of time. Too bad for him. I guess that means Crosby wins the award by default. A ROTY winner with a .239 Avg. Ugh!

                    National League

                    MVP - Bonds
                    Cy Young - Clemens
                    ROY - Jason Bay
                    Manager - Bobby Cox

                    American League

                    MVP - VLAD!
                    Cy Young - Santana
                    ROY - Crosby
                    Manager - Showalter

I think the winners are pretty clear-cut this year except for NL Cy Young but I chose Clemens because he was awesome in September leading the 'Stros to the WC.

I agree that the NL Cy Young is the hardest of the awards to come up with an outright winner, but the NL ROTY is running a close second. Even if Bay beats Khalil Greene it will only be by the slimest of margins. In fact, it wouldn't shock me if that were the closest race of all the awards.
