Well, there are still 6 outs to get, but I am just ecstatic. It has been forever that the Astros have won anything. I know it's only a trip to the NLCS, but I will take it. It's 12-3 as of the middle of the 8th, but if we don't win it now, then well you know the rest.

Eh, they retool every year. Average something like 10 new players every season.

The Braves have a lot of good young players on the horizon, too. They'll be around - to lose in the playoffs - for many years to come.

I don't even think the Astros can blow this one. For the third year in a row I watch my Braves go down in a game 5 and I get the same sickening feeling in my stomach. This team wasn't expected to do anything and I thought we would make a run at the world series but it just didn't work out. It sucks to have the year end like this.

It came to a point this year where I even prayed every night that we'd do something in the playoffs.

                  I'm THAT dissapointed.

Well, this is it, the last 3 outs of the year. Make it a good last half inning Braves.

Enjoy it, the first year is the sweetest by far.

                              Well, that's that.

There's actually a small part of me that's glad that 2 pros like Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio are finally going to advance in the playoffs.

Unfortunately, the rest of me is pissed that my team keeps tanking in the %$#@ing playoffs!

You'd think I'd be used to it by now, but one thing never changes: Losing blows.

Hey, the Astros are the better team, without a doubt. The 2 Braves' wins were nailbiters, while the Astros dominated the other 3. Tip your cap, the better team won. And the Astros will be a tougher test for St. Louis than the Braves would have been.

I've been pretty hard on the Braves, but they had a very good year. No one expected them to make it this far. But that doesn't mean I have to like losing. It still really, really sucks.
