Re: 4/3 - 4/17 Game Discussion Thread
Yea I just read that first sentence so I did miss it. My bad.
But I can see a case for both sides on the rule. Last night's play, I don't think that it he should've been called out for it. He slid straight into the bag and IMO, it wasn't a dangerous play. It was just weasley. Bautista did what you were taught to do slide into the bag and cause some trouble for the runner. But the Utley one from the playoffs I didn't like that one at all because he could barely reach the bag, which was the rule at the time.Comment

Souza Jr only a triple shy of the cycle now...Pillar almost robbed his homer."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Yeah, he was limping a bit on his HR trot earlier as well. It seems he came into the game with a wonky leg (hopefully nothing serious) as he was also being tended to by the trainers during the game before he was pulled.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I wonder how big a thing Gibbons' dress comment becomes. It seems to have ticked off more than a few people.Comment

Donaldson had also been wiping his eyes and face a ton prior to the injury. It could be anything from core injury, leg injury, to flu and crapping his pants on the swing.Comment

Souza Jr, have a day. Two homers, a double, a single, and he has given the Rays a 5-3 lead in the 8th."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment
