    Re: 4/3 - 4/17 Game Discussion Thread

Statcast confirms the 440 foot HR.

Also, there's this floating around on twitter:

In Jake Arrieta's last 22 starts he's hit more home runs (3) than he's allowed (2).

Fractured right elbow for Winkler is what they're saying right now. Not as bad as it could be.

Also the Cards are now up 9-6. The Braves will go 0-162.

Make it 12-6. This will be the 4th Braves loss that they lead past 6 innings.

I know the Braves aren't going anywhere this year...but this is painful. I really believed the bullpen would be better this year, but so far it's awful. The starters and the defense are just a bit better than awful. It's all I can do to not lose it watching/listening to this team.

I'm still amazed that Gonzalez is still managing this team. Surely this will be his last year?

Honestly, it doesn't matter at this point...Casey Stengal could be managing and we'd stink.

Five games in and we've walked opposing batters 25 times already.

Edit: I missed 2. It's actually 27. And 14 of those by the pen.

The roster is bad, but you can't just forgive Freddi for all of the terrible decisions and collapses he has been responsible for since joining Atlanta. He's never managed a bullpen well since he has been here. He's never consistently held late game leads because of his poor managing skills. If it weren't for the Red Sox he'd be the manager of the team that had the biggest late season collapse in history. He needs a team full of 25 all-stars to ever have a shot at winning consistently.

Just let him go already. He's brought nothing to this organization since he has been here that is positive.

Goldy just mashed a no-doubter off Arrieta.

For the first time in over 30 years the Braves are 0-5...this sucks.

12-7 final. Cards sweep the Braves, score 31 in the series. I don't know what the Braves scored on the series, but it doesn't matter because it wasn't enough to even win one game.

I don't know how this team is going to win a game. Terrible rotation, terrible bullpen, average at best lineup, mediocre defense, and a "manager". I'll set the over/under at 40 games. Right now I'll take the under and not even feel crazy for doing so.

Socrates Brito ties the game at 3 with a HR. Jake looking human on the mound, at least.

I have to laugh at the presser too.

"Another decent outing by a starting pitcher"

What? 3 Walks, 1 HR, 4 runs given up in only 4 2/3 IP. That's not even close to a decent outing. That's absolutely terrible.

Giants are fun as **** to watch. This series has been a blast.

Fun finish in the Royals game. Gore rushes home after a wild pitch in extras.

Jorge Soler owns Shelby Miller. Three home runs in twelve at-bats against him in a Cardinals, Braves, and now Diamondbacks uniform.

Giants and Reds have been my two favorite teams to watch in the first week. Reds have a good vibe...just a feeling about them. People predicted 100 losses and they are having none of it.

I also had the Twins picked in the AL Central...so far, no Bueno.
