The Arizona Diamond Backs interviewed former 1B Mark Grace for more than 3 hours on friday as the team searches for a new Manager. Interim Manager Al Pedrique who replaced Bob Brenly on july 2 has also interviewed for the job. the Diamond Backs finished with a franchise worst 111 losses this past season, 61 of those losses came after Pedrique took over the team. The Diamond Backs endured a rough off season ast year trading Curt Schilling to Boston and then trading 6 players to Milwaukee for Richie Sexson, Schilling won 21 games for the Red Sox this season, Sexson missed a large part of the season with a shoulder injury. During the season it did not get any better, for a couple of months all the news was centered around whether or not the team was going to trade Randy Johnson, Johnson stayed and the team traded Steve Finley instead.
