    I was a pitcher in HS and College and while I know the differenc between all the pitches and how they move I'd much rather see a pitcher show the grips for a certain pitch and then show how them in a real example.

    Something like - If they wanted to show a cutter, show the grip and then show Rivera throwing one and the effect it has on a hitter. If they wanted to show a sinker, show the grip and then show Lowe throwing one and the effects.

    Something like that would be better than "scooter" IMO.

        I like the fact that on Mondays Sox game Scooter basicaly told all the kids at home its ok to throw at people

                And he had a black eye...so lame. I'm convinced they need more recently retired players doing the color commentary. My 2 favorites so far in the postseason are Tony Gwynn and Al Leiter. Because they were playing recently they're more in touch with the game. Unlike McCarver who is probably still wondering why last nights game wasn't tied since "A walk is as good as a HR"
