        Lucas Harrell shutting the Cubs out at Wrigley thru 5 IP is probably the strongest indicator yet of how godawful the Cubs are playing right now.

            Ya...he's living dangerously though. Runners on 1st and 2nd with nobody out is not where you want to be with the Cubs and yet he's lived there the last few innings.

                    Sigh...our bullpen is such garbage. Hunter Cervenka has ONE job and he sucks at it. Just garbage.

                                    At this pace, the Cubs will be lucky to finish .500. They were 27 games over just yesterday it seems like. Now it's a mere 19 over and sinking like a rock. Losing to teams they have no business losing to.

                                            Good to see the Cardinals pull one out last night and salvage one win against the Pirates. Bad thing is that we've not taken advantage of the Cubs' recent struggles. We are still 8 games back. Feel as though if we would've played better baseball over the past few weeks that we could be within 5 at this point and really putting pressure on the Cubs.
                                            I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

                                            I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

                                                        The Cubs need a strong start from Arrieta tonight to get some positive momentum. With separate stretches of 4-8 and 5-13 mixed in over the past 2 months, there is about a month of some seriously bad Cubs baseball.
