I don't get how the Astros keep winning, it must be a philosophical or coaching thing. Mariners who are every bit as talented or even slightly more, can't stay above .500, or sustain any kind of hot streak, as far as wins/losses are concerned. Maybe when we get Felix and Walker back in the near future we will take off, but I highly doubt it.

I love Marcus Stroman I really do, but the guy needs a stint in AAA just to get the kinks worked out even if it's just for a couple starts. Nice to see the offense is still kicking *** and taking names though. Here's hoping the Jays can pull off the W tonight.

Astros move to 4 games ahead of Seattle and pull within 4.5 of Texas. Going to be a fun second half!

It's a talent thing. The Astros probably have the best up-the-middle trio in baseball. And the bullpen is lights-out.

And outside of Altuve, Correa (Who is a bit overrated), and Springer, they don't have much. And it's not like their pitching is lights out either, they have 2 position players that I would take over their counterpart on the M's.

The Cubs are getting out from the break in the right way. Will go for the sweep against Texas tomorrow afternoon. The Rangers have scored only 1 run over the first two games of this series against the Cubs 4/5 starters.

According to the Cubs broadcast, Texas hasn't had a starter go 6+ innings in a start for 11 games.

Shelby Miller got demoted to AAA.

                      Wow.

Everytime I hear/see the ERA stat I think immediately: yeah, but what's the WHIP or FIP?

Triple post (sorry!) but I saw this stat and it's worth mentioning.

Kershaw has a 0.7273 WHIP, on pace for the best EVER in MLB history.

Welp, this is what I feared as the Jays have dropped the first two games after the break
