Sounds a little performance based to me.

Exactly if he came out gave 7 innings of work and 2/3 runs he would still be up and pitching in a few days.

His ERA was 3.61 before last start, so it doesn't seem logical that they'd send him down because of 1 bad start. He was pitching good before he went on the DL.

Obviously not performance based. Needs time to get rust off. Gave up 6 1st game off the DL. Had a 3.5ish ERA before that. He'll be back up in a week or 2. And honestly it makes no sense. 1st game back of course you're going to be rusty. Miranda isn't the answer. I think they did this to get an extra RP, and we'll only need 4 starters next week+, while he works off the rust. Then either Caminero or Miranda will be sent down.

Servais says Walker's demotion was performance-based. Miranda will take Walker's spot in rotation.

It's illogical. You don't send a guy down because of 1 bad start. There's obviously more to it. Paxton was terrible after his 1st couple starts, now, he's pitching lights out. He'll be back up in a week or 2 as previously stated. And to be frank it's a joke. I'd expect a boneheaded move like this under JZ, but DiPoto?

It's illogical. You don't send a guy down because of 1 bad start. There's obviously more to it. Paxton was terrible after his 1st couple starts, now, he's pitching lights out. He'll be back up in a week or 2 as previously stated. And to be frank it's a joke. I'd expect a boneheaded move like this under JZ, but DiPoto?

Maybe he took some scissors to some alt's he didn't want to wear?

Edwin Diaz hit 102 on the gun today. If you apply the Chapman filter that's the 2nd or 3rd fastest pitch in baseball this year.
