I'm Buying a DVD Recorder Tomorow.

Yankees, Red Sox, 0-3 comeback...VHS just will not cut it. My home DVD collection of sports games starts tomorow...CAN'T WAIT!

Re: I'm Buying a DVD Recorder Tomorow.

This reminds me, does anyone know where I can get recordings of old games? I'm interested in World Series and Stanley Cup clinching games. I used to record the clinching Stanley Cup game every year dating back to 1993 and was up to 1998 before they got recorded over. I'd love to have Stanley Cup vidoes of the Cup clinching games from 1993 until 2004 and also World Series clinching games.

I've checked on eBay but all I can find are the "official" World Series videos, which is not what I'm looking for. I'd like to have the actualy game as it was played on TV, commercials and all. I guess I could try and get in contact with ESPN Classic. I'm suprised I can't find much of anything on eBay.

I have a question about the quality the recordings from TV to dvd, is there that big a difference in the way it looks? Also is the recorders expensive?

eBay theres a few people who sell old games on DVD i've gotten a few i have Laettner's game winner against UK (vhs and dvd), Jordans 1st game at the garden after his 1st retirement (where he torched Starks for 55), i also have a flyers-maple leafs hockey game where Felix Potvin beats the hell outta Hextall
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

I have one but I've been som busy lately I havent been able to edit the content on my harddrive so my harddrive is full on mine. Looks like I will have to delete a football game or my Fresh Prince marathon from Nick at Nite.

The one I have is here.

                http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...onics&n=507846

When I bought it it was much cheaper now Amazon, has jacked up the price.

To the person who asked about the quality, I've got football games on one DVD that I recorded from TV that look pretty good. Ususally you start to notice a drop off in quality when you try to record anythign more than 2hr 40 mins on one disc. Even for a baseball game after tou edit the commericals its probably gonna be 3hrs. Its best to divide those up into two discs.

I just hope tonights game doesnt suck and I'm wasting my time recording it.
