Re: Is Barry Bonds reputation tarnished?

Is there any proof that he knew what he was taking? The trainers might have told him to take it b/c it'll help him, not b/c it was an undetectable, synthetic steroid. I dunno, just throwing some possibilities out there.

kyo, let me ask you a question.

Assume I was your best friend and one day someone on this board accused you of making ridiculous threads just so you can see yourself type. But, there was a strong number of people that believed that you just made a thread and you have the liberty to do so - and anyway, you can't prove that he does it to make himself look good.

Then, I come on and say, "Oh yea, he does make ridiculous thread so he can just look at himself type."

Does that make me right because I'm your friend? Or wrong because I obviously have nothing to lose by making those comments?
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

his trainer saying this means nothing.

I see it as people digging/making up crap because they dont want him having a record that people see as sacred. Aaron never did anything bad and he still got picked apart when he was breaking the record.

The only reputation Barry ever had was a bad reputation and this just adds to that bad reputation.

I've never heard the tape confession so there is no proof. I don't really care if he took them. It's a bad move on baseball for letting all this steroid talk get out. Should've been best if they had kept their mouth shut in the beginning.

And I'd be a hypocrite to support Caminiti and bash Bonds. If he's is found guilty of using steroids, I'll still be indifferent. And I never said I didn't care about the integrity of baseball. What I said was "It's a bad move on baseball for letting all this steroid talk get out. Should've been best if they had kept their mouth shut in the beginning." I don't how you interpretted it that way but whatever.

Once again, no one has played the tape confession for me so outside of the photo proof everyone else has been using here, I have not seen or heard anything else. So until I hear that tape confession I'm standing firm about my no-proof.
