    Actually Gagne pitched more innings than Rivera the past 3 years. Amazingly Gagne has thrown 82.1 innings each of those 3 years. Before that he was a starter throwing 151+ innings per year. Rivera threw 78.2, 70.2 and 46 the last 3 years. '98 was his high year with a little over 100 IP.

    I think Gagne gets a bad rap in that respect. He just had a bad stretch at one point during this year and STILL only had 2 blown saves all season. People made more out of his bad stretch since he was so dominant for 80-some straight save opportunities.

        Youngmel = Poll master

        I would have to go with Rivera.

            I am not a Boston fan at all but you have to give foulke credit he has really stepped up.

                It's kind of amazing to see Billy Wagner fall off, what a disappointment. Houston looks smart trading him away.

                        Right now, I would have to go with Gagne. I think Rivera is starting to show wear and tear a little bit. He was probably overused, but didnt the Red Sox get to him after the 1st 3 games. My own personal list would go:

                        1. Gagne
                        2. Rivera
                        3. Nathan
                        4. Foulke
                        5. Lidge
