Looking history in the face...
OK, I thought a thread like this might be interesting where people can provide random tidbits theyve heard that is relevant to the game/series occurring at the time. For example, I had heard that St Louis had never lost a series trailing 2games to 3 when going home for 6 and 7. Likewise I had also heard LaRussa had a history that was such where he had never won being in the situation he was in after game 5 of the NLCS. As far as game 3 goes: I heard that there have only been two prior times that a pitcher pitched against his former team and both times the pitchers team won. This bodes well for todays matchup if you think it will remain consistent with the past.Tags: None -
