Watching the Cardinals get swept in the World Series is no doubt the second greatest thing I can imagine in the world of baseball, next to the Cubs winning the World Series. So I can't express how happy I am that the Red Sox swept the Cardinals. It was great to see Boston win.
However, I still can't believe that people even made arguments about how Boston's "curse" was worse before this season. I remember there was even an hour special on ESPN about who's curse was worse. There is no doubt that the Cubs have it worse off than the Red Sox. For God's sake the Cubs haven't even been to the World Series since 1945. At least the Red Sox had been since then. And to top it all off the last time the Cubs won the World Series was 1908 compared to 1918. I mean, what argument do they have?
Again, its great to see the Red Sox win the World Series but I can't help but think about my Cubs. I'm really glad that they won this year against St. Louis because if the Cubs would have lost to the Red Sox, I would have hated Boston for all eternity.
