    Ode to the Red Sox...

Don't normally try my hand at poetry, but here you go....

Ode to the Red Sox (The Curse is lifted)

    With Schilling, Manny, and Ortiz
Pedro, Foulke, and stars like these,
The Boston faithful were on their knees
    Begging God and Jesus Please
Just let us win this World Series

And then it happened in game Four
Three to Zero was the score
The Cardinals were swept out the door
The curse was lifted for Ever More

Last night in Boston an old man cried
A dream fulfilled before he died
For 86 years they tried and tried
Our Beloved Sox are off the schnide

So Billy Buck come back to town
And face the fans that you let down
They'll welcome you this time around
The Red Sox have their cherished Crown

And now the Yankees are in denial
We knew the curse would last a while
I heard him whisper "holding a grudge just ain't my style"
As I saw the ghost of Babe Ruth wink and smile.

Not a huge fan of poetry myself, but this one was great.
