OK its one thing to have a more balanced NL schedule but its quite another to have more interleague play. Theres already too much interleague play. I think its because of Reinsdorf but thats just a theory. No they need less interleague play.

How about invoking the mercy rule? There are a lot of games that go on and on because one team is just beating the tar out of another team.

Oh yea, why does'nt anyone like interleague play?

Personally, I love seeing diffrent matchups. I get sick and tired of seeing the same teams each year after year, month after month, day after day. Can someone fill me in as to why they dont like it?

Another i'd like to see but will never happen is let the pitchers take the inside of the plate back. Hitters lean out over the plate and there's nothing pitchers can do about it. Some players (*cough* Miguel Cairo) make no effort to move out of the way and any pitcher who tries to throw inside ends up putting people on with a HBP.

Well then why not just do away with the American and National leagues and not have a postseason at all? Make it a completely balanced schedule with no postseason like Bundesliga soccer. Would that satisfy you? Oops with that sarcasm I forgot to spell out why it sucks although my Bundesliga reference should provide a hint. Ok, first of all, interleague play is prositution. For example, the Cubs are going to play the Red Sox this year. This is a matchup that should have occurred in the World Series- and only then. Its sickening really. IN fact, the other sports should make it the way baseball was pre 1997. Then you have some intrique involved with the championship game. It takes something away when the two teams have played. Plus, from a practical standpoint, interleague play can and has really created problems in terms of rescheduling should rainouts occur. If Toronto has a dayoff before a west coast swing its kind of unfair that they would have to fly to Florida to make up a rainout game on that day. Yeah this might happen in intraleague play but its far less of an issue due to the likelihood they will play again.

wow all you guys who made these suggestions know nothing of real baseball. The little touches and the length of the game is what makes baseball baseball.

No Interleague play in every sport? and tell me what you mean by how interleague play is prostitution? If every sport goes with out interleague play then that would get boring fast. A perfect example is football you only play 16 games per year and there is only 16 teams in your conferance so you would play the same schedule every year. It doesnt take nothing at all from the championship.
