Piazza back to LA? I'm not sure where I heard it from, but he said he didn't like LA hence him leaving the first time he had a chance...

It's just a rumor. Green is a 10-5 player, and will most likely not waive his no-trade to come to the Mets (at least according to Peter Gammons).

piazza is a 5-10 player also...what he needs is a DH spot...or a place where the team can afford to let him catch only about 110 or so games a year

i dont think shawn green wouldnt mind the mets because of the huge jewish population

The Baltimore Sun reports the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers have opened talks on a trade that would send Mets C Mike Piazza back to the Dodgers for OF Shawn Green.

Obviously it's not just Gammons unless the Baltimore Sun is getting their info from him as well.

On a side note, their was an entirely different ownership group (the O'Malleys) and a different GM when Piazza was last in L.A. Players are just as nostalgic as the rest of us and I'm sure Piazza wouldn't mind finishing his career there.

i wouldnt mind getting rid of Piazza for shawn green...his time here in NY is done...and the O'Malleys can go eat schisse...if it weren't for them i wouldnt have to put up with my grandparents whining or the crappy mets
