thats the only place i would CONSIDER it...but i dont think it has a place in baseball...bad calls are part of the game..and they dont occur THAT often...they are only remembered when they have a huge influence

        Re: Instant Replay?

I agree with everyone in saying baseball shouldn't implement instant replay.

In a game like the NFL it makes sense because each official is assigned certain areas of the field and certain penalties to watch for. There are a lot of situations where only 1 official has a clear view of what is happening.

In baseball however the play is usually seen by all 4 umpires. Now that they are willing to conference they have been very consistent in getting the calls right, as evidenced in the ALCS.

            Instant Replay is dead......for now

The GMs couldn't come up with a consensus so it's going to be on the backburner for now.

I don't really think MLB needs it. There's really not many situations where it's needed. I would like some kind of a computer thing where you can get an accurate strike zone.

Another reason for me to watch only 2-3 full regular season games.
