I don't do the full blown predictions anymore but I do have some nonetheless:

- The Indians will fall back a bit this season but still win the division but not make it out of their first playoff appearance.

- The Yankees despite their spring success will struggle and Joe Girardi will be fired.

- The Red Sox will be in the hunt all season long but falter down the stretch due to starting pitching woes.

- The Mets will have a disappointing season as their vaunted rotation once again falls apart due to injury.

- The M's will make the playoffs but the Rangers won't.

- The Blue Jays will get past the ALCS

Well Im not going to try and predict where each team will finish in their divisions, so I will just pick who I believe will win.

Seems odd starting a year where the Cubs are the World Series Champs, after being the biggest joke in all of sports for so long. I guess they are still being used in jokes, but now people say well if the Cubs can win it all, then anything is possible, but Im pretty darn sure its safe to say there is no way my Reds wont be pathetic this season:wink:

Im thinking we will see a rematch of last year WS, but this year the Indians win it all.

Indians got their last yr with a depleted roster, and they not only improved by getting guys back from the DL, but they added Edwin Encarcion. They were so close last yr, that this yr I think it puts them over the top.

Cubs have the most talent and depth of any team in all of baseball. They proved last yr that talent alone can win it all, because they won despite some very poor decision from their manager in the Postseason. The 1 thing Maddon does do maybe better than any manager in baseball is he connects with the players, and get them to play hard and with all that talent, its just hard not to expect them to get back to the WS.

Obviously to win it all you have to have some luck staying healthy, but if these 2 teams stay healthy I cant imagine they wont meet up for it all in October.

I think the Giants could be a dangerous team, and they have the best manager in baseball, so you dont ever count them out. If I had to pick a team to take down the Cubs, it would be the Giants.

As far as a team that could end up knocking the Indians out, Id probably go with the Red Sox's.
