Yes, probably so. You have to keep in mind, though, that steroids don't hit the homeruns, Bonds does. Sure, they don't hurt, giving you even more strength, but without the incredible patience he has, awesome bat speed, and overall intelligence at hte plate, he wouldn't have hit all of these homers, with or w/ out steroids.

Well if it doesn't matter, lets just let everyone in MLB take steroids.

And wear enough armor to make pitchers throw to a certain part of the plate....

You give every MLB player steroids, and allow them to limit the pitcher to 1/3 of the plate, and everyone could hit HR's evertime they hit the ball....

And actually yes, Steroids does hit HR's....Steroids allow balls that would be easy flyouts and usually crappy contact to have enough velocity to get over the wall.....

Well, if I recall correctly, they said that he supposedly used steroids in 2003. IMO that was his worst year from 2001 - 2004. So, I'm sorry that his worst year was "with steroids", because that's not really supporting anybody's theory that steroids help a baseball player.

Also, I'm sure that nobody is as patient as Bonds, in terms of getting frusterated at the plate. If Pujols or Beltre got 232 walks in a year, you wouldn't take their ratios of home runs to at bats, etc., because they aren't as patient as Bonds. They will be more willing to swing at other pitches, and swing worse, just so they can get their home run count up.

They will be pulling a Soriano, extend their swing, and not be able to hit those home runs (like when he was a homer away from 40/40).
