He gets traded they can literally just burn the stadium to the ground and move the team wherever because it just wouldn't be possible to draw fans ever again in Miami(not that they don't already struggle but that's combined with losing and people hating Loria's guts)

Obviously you're in the camp of people that don't want Stanton to go. I was listening to an interview with a guy from the Sun-Sentinel and he believes there's a segment of fans who realize that the makeup of the team needs to change and a rebuild is probably the best way to do so. This would mean letting Stanton go. There's also the crowd that you're squarely in which would turn their backs on the Marlins no matter what.
The way i'm hearing it, the Marlins would ask for an A and B minor league prospect and the team trading for Stanton to pay his contract. Clearly if that went down I can definitely see any fans left throwing their hands in the air in frustration. You'd have to take a huge leap of faith that this new ownership group isn't going to be like Huizenga or Loria.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Upton to Angels for Long and a PTBNL. Good deal for the Tigers. Potentially good for the Angels if they can get more than a month of Upton.

Crazy when you think how talented Upton is and yet this will now be his 5th team in 5 years. I remember watching him dominate in person several times in the 2011 season and thinking I was watching the second coming of Willie Mays...he made it look so effortless at the plate, on the base paths, and in the field.
