At no point in this season have we even been over .500 and the only time we were not under .500 is when we were 6-6 on a 5 game winning streak.

All I see is a team over-performing at the moment.
You keep saying that, but since the first 5 weeks of the season when they started 11-20 this team is 33-25 (for context, the Yankees started 21-9 in that same stretch...and have since gone 25-33, but I don't hear anyone saying the Yankees are out of it). That's a lot of over performing for two months. I'm not saying they are the best team in the league, going to win the WS, etc, but good grief...they are in the thick of things! I keep hearing about them unloading guys like Phillips, Markakis, Kemp, Garcia, Adams, etc....honestly, unless an offer completely bowls them over, I'd rather they keep what they have and make a push for the playoffs. Even if you come up short, at least you tried...

Braves have come out of the ASB on fire so far...up 6-0 on the DBacks after 3 going for the sweep. It is absolutely amazing, after the horrific teams we watched in 2015/2016, how deep this team is in comparison.

Hopefully this feasting Cubs offense can take it with them to Atlanta. Baltimore's starting pitching might be the worst in baseball.

And Kris Bryant hits a 2-run shot to go up 6-0.

Just anecdotally I had a feeling from watching the Braves that they are more aggressive going 1st to 3rd/2nd to home this year than I can remember. I checked it out, and lo and behold they are tied with Arizona for the league lead, taking the extra base 50% of the time (league average is 41% of the time).

For context, the Braves have been in the 35-40% range the last few years...really fun to watch, for sure.

Brandon Phillips must have done some serious yoga and acupuncture during the break. Guy is killing the ball right now.

Rookie Magnerius Sierra is 3 for 3 today and has yet to hit the ball out of the infield.

Quintana with a season high 11 K's through 6 shutout IP so far. Not a bad debut.

EDIT: 7 IP, 12 K, 3 hits allowed, 0 BB, 0 runs, an even 100 pitches (67 strikes). Well done, Jose.

The Rockies are taking it to the Mets today. I like to see the Mets lose, but I'd also like to see both wild card teams lose.

Cardinals have hit into 3 double plays today. Jedd Gyorko has hit into 2 of them.

EDIT: Cardinals have hit into 4 double plays today. Jedd Gyorko has hit into 3 of them.

And Brett Cecil blows the save.

And we lose the game. 2nd walkoff win for the Pirates in this series.

If I'm Moz I'm seeing if there is a market for Cecil and Fowler.

Now you know why so many Jays fans became disenchanted with him. He is not that great. The man sure robbed the Cards blind though LOL

I edited my post after your response, but I seriously hope the front end management looks to see if there is a market for Cecil and Fowler. We seriously over-reacted to the Cubs winning the World Series.
