That's the type of game the Cubs would've lost before the break.

On a positive note, that's 4 straight wins and both Quintana and Lester were fantastic these past 2 days. Hendricks is making good progress according to the radio broadcast as well.

Meh...Braves didn't play well enough to win and yet were in it until the very last out. Love how this team fights hard...it wouldn't surprise me to see us take the next two.

They should take the next two based off of this game, but who knows. That's one of the worst games for this team in the past 8-10 weeks. Freeman was the only reason the Cubs stayed at 4 runs. Ender played poorly at the plate and in the field along with the rest of the team. 8 innings of zero plate discipline and then when someone learned to take a pitch they almost win the game with their final two outs.

Agreed...you almost wonder if they put too much on themselves after the sweep with the Cubs coming to town. They just looked like they were pressing all night long. I wanted Rodriguez or Camargo to stroke a single so badly...Dansby would have scored from 2nd.

Camargo looked nervous to me and swung at 2 or 3 balls in that AB alone. He could have walked twice and at least got the game tied. The pitches were close enough to where you can forgive him, but I feel a guy like Phillips or Freeman would've been able to recognize the pitches better and get that needed walk.

LOL...I knew Camargo wasn't going to walk. He's a hacker...I was just hoping he'd square one up and find a hole.

And Segura with player of the game honors... for his glove. Runner on 2nd bottom of the 9th, makes incredible diving stop to throw runner out at 1st. Runners on 2nd and 3rd (After an IBB and SB), infield in, makes reactionary snag going to the ground, guns runner out at home. Runners 1st and 3rd, ball hit into the hole, ranges to his right, guns it off balanced to 2nd to get the runner by a foot, and save the game. Mariners win it in the 10th thanks to a pair of HR's by Seager and Valencia. 5 ties and 3 lead changes that game.

                  I need a drink, who's buying?

Zimmerman passes Vlad for most HR's in franchise history. Sucks these are only times ever where Nats ever recognize the Expos history. I wanna see the Jays Montreal series VS Nats one year. Tell me that won't be a hostile environment. Beyond playoff series hostile.

Yesterday's Mariners/Astros game was the best game of the year for the Mariners, maybe tied with the game against Minnesota where Z hit the walk off HR. Felt like a playoff game, but I'm a Mariners fan so what do I know lol

The Giants sellout streak ended last night...first game that wasn't a sellout since October 1st, 2010. It's the longest the NL has ever seen...

Surprised it took that long considering how bad they are this year.

I'm already tired of John Kruk tonight and they haven't thrown a pitch.

It's insane...we have had more rain delays on the road and at home this year than all the past 2-3 years combined I think.
