That would be a really bad trade to start your GM-hood on. Hopefully he does it

I mean, I'd trade a pitcher or two for Schwarber but definitely not Inciarte.

Apparently John Lackey wants to pitch in 2018.

The Brewers are not ruling out significant additions on the pitching market, it seems. When asked yesterday about the possibility of landing …

[QUOTE=Sportsforever;2049114602]Ya, I agree...but the Chicago sports talk around here is talking about how the Braves "need" to trade Ender to open up room for Acuna. Sorry, but that's asinine. Markakis or Kemp need to go (preferably Kemp), not Ender. Inciarte is a stud and I can't agree with a trade for any of those players. I want no part of Schwarber, we don't need Russell, not that high on Happ. Baez is intriguing, but again, we don't need him.[/Q

I see this going down. Acuna is capable of playing CF. Actually he started more games in CF than the corner OF spots. If the new GM can get Josh Donaldson in here by dealing Inciarte and moving Schwarber to Toronto. I would be ok with it. Ender is 27 years old. The logic is Albies can be the leadoff hitter. Better plus high 90's speed and lil pop like Inciarte.

I actually see them keeping Kemp and Markakis. Kemp's money hard to move and Markakis will play out his contract at SunTrust Park.

Seems all the broken down old pitchers want to keep plying their craft. I recently read a report that Bartolo Colon wants to pitch in 2018 as well.

Depending on the other moves they make, the Giants might make Hunter Pence a part time player.

I have to be honest...I would rather have Ender than any one of those players. He’s on a very team friendly deal, is an elite defensive player and continues to get better with the bat. I will be sad if he gets traded...

Yeah Ender is good but from the Cubs side if you want an elite defensive CF probably best just to give Albert Almora a much larger role? and use the resources on pitching.

Trade Schwarber and either Inciarte or Almora Jr. can play LF. Inciarte was the Dbacks Left fielder before he was traded to ATL.

He may not like it but I think that's probably the best for him long term. It's clear that the way he plays he just can't go through the rigors of a full 162 game season.

Cardinals and Rays have had trade discussions involving Alex Colome. Low salary and controllable for a couple of more years, I'll take that deal before signing on the closers on the open market for $10M+ a year.

Also Cardinals have had internal discussions about Carlos Gonzalez. No thanks.

I could see Piscotty or Pham headlining this deal since Rays need LF.
