Juan Contreras, Yefri del Rosario, Abrahan Gutierrez, Kevin Maitan, Juan Carlos Negret, Yenci Pena, Yunior Severino, Livan Soto, Guillermo Zuniga, Brandol Mezquita, Angel Rojas, Antonio Sucre and Ji Hwan Bae are all now free agents.

One aspect of this that still is not clear for me; the Braves 3rd round draft pick was stripped due to improprieties in the drafting of Drew Waters. In the domestic draft, how could there be "improprieties"? The only thing I can think of is that they paid him under the table to tell other teams he wouldn't sign, but from what I heard they didn't find anything indicating that happened. It’s at least the next 2 years. As SportsForever said they can only pay a player 10K max. And then in 2 years the Braves are getting their Latin American budget cut in half.

It wouldn't surprise me if every team breaks the rules regarding the Latin market. I read a while ago that the Pirates are due to face some repercussions due to their head Latin scout as well though surely not as bad as this.
