Re: 2017-2018 MLB Hot Stove Thread
So this is a bit under the radar and doesn't pertain to any players but I see that Tampa Bay pitching coach Jim Hickey left the organization. I don't know if he wants to take time off or is looking for new opportunities but I think he'd be an excellent hire for any team looking for a new pitching coach.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2017-2018 MLB Hot Stove Thread
Just a little bit more on the ongoing investigation MLB is conducting into the Braves:
- MLB is investigating that the Braves, primarily Coppollela, actually conducted illegal in home visits with MLB draft prospects. In these visits he urged them to fake injuries during workouts for teams, tell certain teams they wouldn't sign if drafted, and encourage other prospects they knew to do the same.
- Coppollela allegedly contacted the agents of players under contract on MULTIPLE occasions to discuss potential free agent contracts.
If any/all of this is true, lock that guy up...what a total and utter disaster. If this is true, I expect MLB to absolutely hammer the Braves...and they should."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Why do I get the feeling another bad contract is on the horizon?
