This off season is about as exciting as watching paint dry.

LOL...I was thinking that this morning. Every time I see an update in this thread I think "okay, here we go..." and then of course it's "so and so signs minor league reliever". I guess the good thing is this means January should be nuts!

Zach Duke and Daniel Wright have been signed!!!! How are you not excited?!?!

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I don't see anything exciting happening until after the New Year.

With that said, the Red Sox and Mike Olt have agreed to terms.

It seems every hang up with a deal for the Yanks to trade for a pitcher is Gleber Torres.

According to Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Yankees made an offer to the Tigers that included outfielder Clint Frazier, infielders Tyler Wade and Thairo Estrada, and some pitchers that have yet to reach the majors, but the offer was rejected by Tigers general manager Al Avila. One of those pitchers is said to have been Chance Adams.

Personally, if the offer would have been Frazier, Adams, Estrada, Tate and say an Abreu, id have taken that offer

Maybe its a bit low for a 25 year old starter with the potential he has, but theyre not trading and doubt that Cashman gives up Frazier, Andujar and Adams which might be the value of a Fulmer. (Think Machado is signing there after the season, so no spot for Andujar)

Ya, I think it's crazy if the Yankees treat Torres as untouchable, but at the same time I think it's crazy for teams to turn down offers like the above if he's not included. That's a tremendous offer (if true) from the Yankees and one that could really reboot Detroit. Not sure what they are doing...as it is, Fulmer will be gone before they are good again.

The Yanks must feel pretty strongly that he is going to start at 2b. If he was still going to be in the minors for a little bit they would be more inclined to move him in a trade.

Heard on baseball tonight that if a FA signed every day between now and Spring Training they wouldn't even get through half of the FA's...there is going to be a serious flurry of activity once it gets going.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I think the players he represents would beg to differ.

There is no salary cap, I personally have no problem with him going out of his way for his clients. Seems like an agent I would want on my side.
