    Where will the Unit go?

There are rumors that the Red Sox are will to part with Arroyo, Lester and another prospect for Randy Johnson.
Then you have the Yankees offering Vazquez, prospect and probably money for Johnson.
You also have the Cards making a big push for Johnson

Who will land the 41 yr old lefty?

Gammons was quoted today as saying his 'source' inside the D-Backs organization said they like the Yankees offer the best. They don't want Arroyo, and Jocketty (Cards GM) says he won't part with Haren, Ankiel and Calero in the same deal. The Yanks offer was supposedly Vazquez, Eric Duncan and a pitcher yet to be acquired by the Yanks. So we shall see.

If I'm a Cardinals fan, I'm happy Jocketty won't do that. I think Haran could be a stud in a couple of years.

Good job Arizona. Now who are we going to trade Johnson to?

Not to the angels because the angles may go for beltran and they don't want to give up their prospects.

Not to the cardinals because of payroll issues, plus they aren't giving what the d-back want.

Not the white sox because johnson's people say he doesn't really want to go there.

Not to the dodgers, otherwise this trade would already have happened.

Not to the red sox because he hates curt schilling's guts for bailing on the team.

And now reportedly not to the Yanks. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/column...son&id=1936460

We are asking for too much even for the yanks. Man why weren't the Diamondbacks this stiff when trading for Curt schilling. Instead all we got is fossum who has an era of at least 6 and a few other players who will pretty much amount to nothing. This franchise has been horrible (at least front office wise) since about last year. I could also mention the Richie Sexson trade in which we gave up like 5 good players for Richie to play about 40-60 games (if that), and then leave through free agency.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

AZ can go F themselves. The Yankees may be desperate, but they're not stupid. Why would we trade Hudson to AZ if we got him? Idiots.

I hope those douches get contracted.

Thank god. They shouldn't trade away Vazquez for an old pitcher with 1 or 2 years left anyway. Looks like the Diamondbacks rediculous demands will keep it from getting done.

I have a funny feeling that the Big Unit will still be in AZ when spring training rolls around. The D'Backs are asking for far too much for him.

i wish we were like this when trading for curt schilling . As for Mr. Blonde, its tough when you can't get everything you want. Welcome to baseball, i agree the diamondbacks are being dumb, and its actually better that the yanks didn't make this trade because i heard they were offering vazques, flash gordon, and a prospect. I think that is too high for a pitcher with 2-4 good years left at most. However, that isn't a good excuse to contract a franchise.

Edit: our management is so bad, we haven't even signed our first round pick to a contract yet. He may enter the draft this year as well, so that pretty much wasted last years pick. If i'm not mistaken his name is Stephen Drew (brother of J.D. Drew), a SS, and a good player but a client of Scott Boras which is why he fell so far. Well management should have thought about this before we picked him.
