Olerud is pretty much gone, but a guy i think the yanks should look at is matt clement. He was pretty good last year, and the only reason why he had a bad record was because he got virtually no run support. I also think the yanks need to go out and sign one of the best pitching coaches available. This will help them in the long run with players like wright and vazquez. Too bad they lost lieber, he was finally looking good but he is getting kind of old.

edit: also once they get rid of giambi they should make a hard push for delgaod.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

I have a feeling that Wright will turn out to be a flop.

But I think Womack is a bargain.

I like the deal, actually. I honestly don't think thata Yankee Stadium and the fans will phase him..and I really hope not. He played well in Atlanta, I got to watch a lot of him pitch and he's got a very live arm.

            Womack...he's just another good.

I wish they would've picked up Pavano though.

This is all I have to say about Jaret Wright:

Here is the pitchers ERA's before, during and after their time with the Braves and pitching coach Leo Mazzone.

                Starters
                Before: 4.09
                During: 3.19
                After: 4.40

                Relievers
                Before: 3.55
                During: 2.95
                After: 4.51

                Rookies
                During: 2.67
                After: 4.47

                Total
                Before: 3.89
                During: 3.03
                After: 4.44

I think I would like the Wright deal alot better if he didn't get such a huge deal out of it. $21 million over 3 years is alot for an unproven starter.
