Our son and I were at the Bucks/Celtics game and thought we turn on the wrap up show for the Bucks. We heard Uecker's voice on the radio and I could tell by his voice that is was a tight game. I showed our son the score at the Bucks game, 4 to 1 cards in the 6th. All of a sudden, Yelich has 2 strikes and the next pitch Uecker is yelling his trademark, get up, get out of here gone HR speil. Next pitch, Braun hits the walk off. Braun is 4 for 4 vs DeLeon with 3 HR's.

      Great games.

And as Braun stated, it's much better to be on the right side of the back to back's to finish the game and win the game. lolz

lol, so on Monday, Donaldson got annoyed at the White Sox coach who blows his whistle whenever White Sox make good defensive play (or he wants to catch attention of outfielders). Donaldson hit a home run, and afterwards mimicked the White Sox coach for his whistle blowing.

On Tuesday, Donaldson came up to the plate to this song:

        <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CBJtzEKetBM?start=65" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

He'd then hit another home run

Hahahaha, oh man. The look of shock on Scherzer's face when Tucker hit that bomb was priceless. I'd make it my avatar if I could. This team is wild.

Mikey is looking great so far. Seems very loose.

Of course as soon as I compliment him he hits a guy.

Nah I’m not saying he’s a first ballot hall of famer or that he’s gonna win the CY or ROTY or anything. It’s just the ridiculous hot takes that we’re being thrown around here that irked me. The crap about him not even making the team, or that he would be sent to the minors and they weren’t sure when he would possibly be called up again, acting like he would never get a hit in the majors, that it’s impossible for him to hit and pitch, the remarks about his velocity being a question mark because it was in the 90-94 range in spring training. Plus a bunch of other things that were just very hot take like that I can’t remember verbatim. Plus there are definitely a lot of people rooting against him for no real reason other than him either not signing with their favorite team (Yankees fans [emoji849]) or because of the way American sports media hyped him as Japanese Babe Ruth.

Scherzer helps himself and drives in a run...Foltynewicz just can't get out of his own way...

Maybe I wasn't as plugged in as you during Spring Training, but I don't really remember that stuff being said here. Actually, I do remember a few people saying it might be best to start him in the minors for a little bit. I might also remember people saying that he's a pitcher first and batter second, but I didn't see anyone say he simply couldn't do both. All that other shade? I don't recall seeing it. Maybe I'm getting too old to remember.

I think the majority of that real **** talking was left in the Show forums. Nobody in this subforum was saying anything like that. No Yankees fan that posts here is rooting for him to fail because he didn't pick us.

It's like Folty and Scherzer switched bodies

I'm just gonna keep my damn mouth shut from now on when he pitches lmao. Now he's gone. Still haven't had a pitcher go 6...

Yep. Velocity has been down for a while, but what's really killed him has been the command. Falling behind too many hitters with balls way off the plate, and he hasn't been able to consistently paint a corner in over a year. Nats have always had his number, but even his opening day start there was a lot to be concerned about.

I have always been a Julio fan, but they need to get him a short leash. If he doesn't start looking better soon then move him to the pen. Maybe that would ramp his velocity back up enough to make him 'effectively' wild or just throw him against righties. He's never developed a good enough changeup to get lefties out without having command of his other pitches.

Fun game today, but man the bullpen scares me. The results have been pretty good so far, but with so many free passes it's going to hurt us sooner than later.

Completely agree with the last part of your post. We've had good results so far but this team is living on the edge. Sam Freeman for example has pitched in 5 games already. Moylan has been ineffective. Carle is a roll of the dice. The starters' inability to go deep is gonna catch up to this team soon. Probably this weekend in Colorado.
