    W.Sox sign Dye

bruce levine (espn radio 1000) confirmed a report that the white sox signed a 2 yr. contract with jermaine dye. not sure of the dollar amount, i think i heard $9 mil?

at least an outfield hole has been filled with maggs denied arbitration.

    plenty of gaps still... plenty

Soxedge, why did you have to beat me to it? I do the Sox reportin' around these here parts. As to the Dye signing, I'm happy about it. We still need a second baseman/shortstop and a starting pitcher but I think we're not too far away.

Not nothing to write home about BUT at least we have a legit RF instead of trying to platoon Gload and Borchard in RF.

Its about time we did SOMETHING.

I dont even have a comment, im so frustrated at how we arnt making any improvments.

                Too many questions like....

are we going to trade Konerko or Lee? Are we going to try and sign any Free Agents worth talking about? Is Uribe going to be our starting shortstop? Is the Garland resigning for a trade at a later date?

sorry i beat you to the punch soxboy. just got bored at work this morning...

but yeah, it is about time we have offseason activity. wasn't it like this last year?

i agree that the less of borchard we see, the better.

I still like Joe Borchard. I felt this year would turn out to be a breakout year for him. It'll be tough now with 4 outfielders ahead of him going into spring training.
