I guess snow outs aren't half bad when your division rivals are busy beating each other up in extras.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Way to earn that $14M payday Holland.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: 4/9 - 4/22 Game Discussion Thread
I don't think this team is going to continue winning 2 out of every 3, but I think that's selling them a bit short. A few things like Tucker/Flaherty obviously won't continue, but the overall the offense should still be fine overall. There are enough other pieces to make the offense go, and both Tucker/Flaherty won't be starting at their positions in a few weeks. I don't expect to see a lot of 0's in the runs scored column last night.
Also, Teheran's performance last night wasn't all that surprising. He has been atrocious at home since Suntrust Park opened last year, but he's always been a solid road pitcher. Even during the worst season of his career last season he was still borderline dominant on the road.
This is probably a .500 team imo.Comment

Re: 4/9 - 4/22 Game Discussion Thread
In response to the Cubs not playing yesterday and the Sox playing, the media is trying to fabricate a beef between the grounds crews. This was my personal favorite nugget in THE WORLDWIDE LEADER'S article with the White Sox's head groundskeeper giving a scouting report on his Cubs counterpart:
So, how much team control does Spillman have left? What kind of packages could we get for him in a trade?"They had more snow, so I get it," he said. "[Cubs head groundskeeper Justin Spillman] was using the watering procedure, too. He's a very knowledgeable, talented young groundskeeper. When you've got more than 2 inches of snow, when you're at that 3, 3½ level, they made the right call."Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Haha that is awesome! They were talking a little about it on Baseball Tonight Podcast but didn't go into details, just said it was strange. But the grounds crew giving opinion is great, I bet they loved getting interviewed. In response to the Cubs not playing yesterday and the Sox playing, the media is trying to fabricate a beef between the grounds crews. Watching this Cubs game and it sounds like a morgue...when did Cubs fans get so quiet?"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment
