Gee, maybe he shaved off the beard because he's hitting like CRAP. The guy can't even hit his weight right now. The whole Yankees thing should be the furthest thing from the collective media's mind right now. The guy is playing like an at best average ballplayer than the amazing 300 million dollar man.

I don't know why Bryce Harper gets so much attention. He's not even the best right fielder in his division, tbh.Comment

Whomever is running the Cubs' twitter feed needs to be sacked. We're going on 3 hours rain delay and no tweets in 2 hours with any sort of update. Really weak use of social media.
Also, nice job Philly in getting it back after giving it up.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

What a win for the Phillies. Marcell Ozuna with a horrible decision to dive for that ball letting it get by him to allow the tying and winning runs to score.

Good of the Cubs to mercifully, finally call for the postponement after keeping people waiting for 3 hours on a work night. Unbelievable. If this were the final game of the series, I could understand...but a doubleheader tomorrow should've been the easy call about 90 minutes ago.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

If this were NBA Jam, Goldschmidt would've got the "he's on fire!" notification a few days ago. Good to see him rebounding from a bad May. He's batting .438/.514/.891 with 7 homers in 16 June games. Make that 8 homers in 17 games as he's gone deep again tonight.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Jays-Braves series begins today. First time an Alex Anthopoulos team is playing in Toronto.
People can say what they want about him "emptying the farm", but Jays for 2 seasons had legit chances to win the World Series. Outside of the Dickey deal (which many hated at the time it happened), there's no other deal I would take back. Even that Tulo trade, while Jays did give up one of their top pitching prospects at the time, that deal did get the ball rolling on what would be a crazy 2nd half in 2015. That 1.5 year stretch provided the fanbase with more memorable moments than the past 15 years combined.Comment

Bases loaded, 1 out, 3-2 count against the opposing pitcher and you throw a slider... that's ballsyComment

I think people forget that AA wasn't fired...he stepped down and I respect him for it. He knew that in bringing in Mark Shapiro, he wasn't going to be allowed to do his job as he wanted to. I think he did a great job with Toronto while he was there...when he took over the Jays had been mired in mediocrity for 15 years and he turned that around. I'm quite happy he fell into Atlanta's lap
I'm happy to see him have such early success with the Braves and i'm rooting for them. (unless there's a '92 WS rematch then screw you Bravos!) I hope he continues to have success there and stay in Atlanta for a decade or more.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
