Holy smokes, Javy. That was some serious hand-eye coordination.

Now if the Cubs can manage to not strand KB at 3rd with nobody out in extras...

Kinda surprised they didn't give Javy the unintentional intentional walk and see if he'd swing himself into an out.

I was very impressed by Soroka tonight. The kid has the poise of a 10 year vet. He kept getting hit hard at times but he kept his cool and more or less kept the Jays at bay.

He's gonna be a good one for a long time IMO.

As for Garcia...I sure hope the Jays decline his option for next season.

can someone explain the Javy walk to me because that makes no sense. against a fastball pitcher you probably want Almora up more even against a RHP because he crushes fastballs and is more contact driven than Javy.

And I know this is cliche, but every time he's interviewed (not often) it reminds me of how off-the-charts his makeup is. He's a really good kid.

I don't think they had many good options there. The double play doesn't do anything for them with KB on 3rd and nobody out. Maybe Dave Roberts has too much respect for Javy? I would've thrown some fastballs at eye level and took my chances though.

I don't think it really mattered since there were 0 outs, but I don't know why you walk Javy there. I thought maybe they were going to walk the bases loaded to try to set up force outs everywhere, but they didn't. That didn't make much sense to me.

Yeah Cubs probably still win there but it was really odd.

Yup, sounds like something Hunter Strickland would do. Other than serving up homers to Bryce Harper anyway.

Giants closer Hunter Strickland will be sidelined six to eight weeks after he fractured his pitching hand while punching a door Monday night following a blown save.
