The Brewers need to wear these uniforms full-time.

Bonus baseball at Wrigley after a Morrow blown save and the Cubs can't push the winning run home from 3rd with 1 out in the 9th.

Another really close, competitive game between these two teams.

Interesting, at 54-36 the Brewers have their best 90-game start in team history.

Cubs win on a bases loaded walk, set up by a really strange error on what should have been a routine groundout to 1st. Votto was trying to take the ball out of his glove before he actually stepped on the bag, but it popped up in the air and was airborne as he stepped on first. Maddon asked for the umpire challenge (he used his challenge earlier) and it was very quickly called safe.

I was just looking at the standings and I didn't realize that the Royals are right there with the Orioles record wise. Wow.

The Royals and O's are only 13 plane crashes away from reprising the 2014 ALCS.

I know you're joking but if there's ever a fatal plane crash I think there's going to be a lot of sadness and regret over this post.

I don't think I'd lose any sleep over making that post. As long as you know I'm joking!

I find it interesting that people can joke about wishing for an asteroid strike (instead of rooting for a rival team), but plane crash jokes will continue to be "edgy" at best and "out of bounds" at worst. Was it like that before 9/11? I forget if plane crash jokes were ever ok or not...

I'm way behind on this Cubs game (already know the outcome), but man Jon Lester was this close to 3 scoreless innings using only 19 pitches (before Schwarber misplayed a Billy Hamilton fly ball). If the Cubs had an average defender in LF, I wonder if Lester shuts the Reds down today.

Happ and Berrios over Paxton? Lmao ok MLB. And I guess hitting .330 and having the 2nd highest average didnt do anything for Segura's case either.

Take the fans out of the voting, don't make it to where each team gets a player in, and make statistics make what gets people in.

Give me each hitter than has 3.0+ PA per game and is hitting >.300. Give me the top fielder at each position that has met a certain criteria of fielded balls. Etc. Etc. I want the best hitters, fielders, and pitcher who have the stats to back it up being the all-stars, not the guys who can get the most votes behind them.

I love watching Puig try to throw guys out at 3rd all the way from RF.

He doesn't always get it, but when he does it's incredible.
