Why are there 16 NL teams and only 14 AL teams? would it kill them to put the Astros in the AL West and everything would be fine and dandy. Seriously, whats the point of this?

The reason for even numbered teams is due to scheduling. If each league had 15 teams, one team from each league would have a day off, meaning two idle teams every day during the season.Comment
