    Ya that makes sense.
Hundley must have said something. Home plate umpire was right there.

That ump made me laugh. Dude was like,"Wait, c'mon and calm dow-...nope, I'm out."

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

The problem with the offense is almost every hitter we have is either nuclear hot or ice cold. The only exceptions I can really think of are Ben Zobrist, David Bote (too early to tell though), Tommy La Stella, and Kyle Schwarber.

The other guys vacillate from being able to hit Kershaw and Scherzer to not being able to hit high school pitching. Russell, Almora, Contreras, Happ, and Baez come to mind immediately. Sometimes it seems these guys have no approach whatsoever. Contreras and Russell especially give me a feeling of "empty calories" with their ABs--I can't really explain the feeling, but they'll do a bunch of damage in a very small amount of games and go long stretches of doing absolutely nothing. Same with Rizzo actually. Rizzo will hit .450 for 2 weeks then .180 for a month and it averages out to look consistent at the end of the season.

It couldn't hurt putting Almora back in the leadoff spot and seeing if it gets him going again. As good as Bote has been, I think the lengthy absence of Kris Bryant is starting to catch up with this offense in a big way.

And just like that, the Cardinals are 1 GB of the wildcard and 4 GB of the Cubs for the division lead.

Damn we are playing some great baseball.

Yeah it really sucks that all of their slumps have happened at the same exact time. Almora has given me the same felling as Russell lately he's just swinging at everything. need Schwarber and Happ going again.

even 60% Bryant they miss so much. so hopefully they can tread water till Sept when the Schedule gets tougher and they get KB back.

If the Cards make the playoffs you HAVE to give the MVP to Matt Carpenter. The guy is playing out of his mind these days.

Cubs taking it to Milwaukee today, up 7-2 in the 6th.

Anthony Rizzo homers in his first AB as the cleanup hitter.

Ben Zobrist has played over 1500 games in the MLB. He has never been ejected in his MLB career.....until now(technically yesterday).

Being the son of a pastor, what might he have said to get ejected? Surely not NSFW language right? Turns out what he said was...

that’s why we want an electronic strike zone.
                              lol, these umps are horrible.

Not really, technically you can't argue balls and strikes and that can be interpreted that way. (i'm talking about the ejection not the fact that umps are sometimes REALLY bad at calling pitches behind the plate)
