Good job, Mattingly. A dumb decision to let your starter throw one pitch. I'm not against hitting someone to get a message across, but Acuna has not acted in any way for this to have been a situation where you hit the guy.

Exactly my thoughts. I get hitting guys who are obnoxious, Bautista/Harper half of the time, guys that pimp their homers and are loud overall, but Acuna has done everything right to this point. Just a sour beaning. I'm not against hitting guys to send a message, but I am against hitting someone just because they had a hot stretch, but still played the game "right".

I didn't see Acuna showboat on any of his homers against the Marlins. You don't want the guy hitting bombs? Make better pitches. Don't blame Acuna for hitting the pitches your teammates couldn't deliver on.

Mattingly should have been ejected, and it shouldn't have taken so long to eject Urena.

Hopefully Acuna coming out was just precautionary.

I'm all for player's policing the game. Even if you want to brush a guy off to remind him that he can't just hang out over the plate that's fine. What he did was just classless and has no part in the game. Acuna hadn't been show boating. Don't be mad that he's better than you. Just get good.

It's interesting and weird how both teams interacted when they met at the mound. It's almost like the (other) MIA players were saying they didn't like it either and/or at least understood why ATL would be so fired up.

I think MLB should absolutely suspend Mattingly and this pitcher multiple games. MLB should rid itself of intentional bean balls with a 95 mph weapon that can hurt and thus levy heavy suspension and fines when it was clear even to the casual watcher it was intentional.

I hope Acuna is ok, Atlanta was rolling and this isn't a time the Braves can afford a man down like him.

I feel like Derek Jeter should've got ejected also when Urena beaned Acuna.
