I saw that he got freaking pegged. I thought it hit him in the gut initially. Glad nothing got broken. Probably took a 100 mph plus fastball off the chest.

That was scary. Dude got straight up speared by that liner. I thought he'd have broken ribs at least.

Cardinals are playing a different brand of baseball under Shildt. Weird seeing Martinez and Weaver coming out of the pen. Miles Mikolas pinch hitting. Kolten Wong making web gems. Cats and dogs living together. Mass hysteria.

I tried. Usually they're pretty good. Today there was only like half a dozen choices and I could only get radio feeds or a choppy SD version to work.

I ended up just radio-ing it. It was a pretty missable game anyway. Thought they might pull off another one there late but couldn't do it.

Seattle didn't do themselves or us any favors with that series. I think the sweep was the other way around the last time they met. Gotta be frustrating to the M's. And now Houston is full strength with Altuve back. This is gonna be fun.

Off to Minnesota now. Thought for a while they moved to the NL. Haven't played them all season and now with less then 35 games left we have 7 against them down the stretch.

Dang. With the Tigers scoring a run already, the best the Cubs can do is tie it with the solo HR. Or hope the game gets rescheduled.

Yeah I was shocked when x-rays were negative.


I think the different play is for two reasons:

1) I think they are playing looser and having more fun under Shildt

2) I think getting not having guys like Holland & Fowler taking up spots and letting the younger guys (Harrison Bader Poncedeleon, Wisdom momentarily, etc..) play has rejuvinated the vets.

Either way, its fun to see Cardinal baseball back.
