Just saw it on ESPN. The Bergen Record reports the Dodgers and J.D. Drew have agreed in principle on a 5-year, $55 million deal.

I like JD Drew but I'm suprised the Dodgers gave him such a long deal when he's been injury prone through-out his career.
I also believe he's a better player than Beltran.
This will more than off-set the loss of Finley and hopefully pick up the slack for the departure of Beltre.Comment

We couldn't have resigned Drew until May, since we didn't offer him arbitration and Marrero was dealt last week.
Right now it appears that it will look like this:
LF - Ryan Langerhans/Billy McCarthy (platoon)
CF - Andruw Jones
RF - Veteran FA/Trade acquisition (holding spot warm for Francouer)
That is what we are probably going to go into opening day with.Comment

Right now it appears that it will look like this:
LF - Ryan Langerhans/Billy McCarthy (platoon)
CF - Andruw Jones
RF - Veteran FA/Trade acquisition (holding spot warm for Francouer)
