I was listening to the FAN sports Radio 660 here in NY, Gary Carter was speaking on the show today, and they said the Mets may talk to Oakland about Byrnes, I'm pretty happy cause I think Byrnes is a real good player. Now people it's just a rumor as of now and we will have to see, so take it for what it is right now and that's a rumor.

I was listening to that too. I was sorta only listening with one year but it sounded like a good idea. The Mets really don't need anymore 35+ year olds on the team. Trying to get Sosa or Alou kinda puts the Mets back. I'm not exactly sure on Byrnes situation in Oakland but I would think he's up for trading. This could be a nice trade if the Mets could pull it off without giving up the farm(which they seem to do in every trade).Originally posted by FootballForeverComment
