It's a good signing for my Reds although I do feel they overpaid a little bit. But in order to get players in a place like Cincy that has struggled the last couple years, you have to overpay. The team looks good on paper, but they need to get stronger off the bench to compete.

Does anybody realize that Milton gave up 43 HR's last year? He's let up 192 HR's in 199 career starts and has a career 4.76 ERA. Maybe I'm just getting spoiled as a Red Sox fan but giving Milton $8.5m a year is not a good signing.

Yeah Milton and Ramon Ortiz are both prone to the long ball, so I don't know about those two additions, but Cincy is giving an effort to compete, they could be a sleeper this year.

I feel that, but aren't the Metrodome and Philly's new park hitter's fields? I dont know.

It is, you're right. But he's still picthed a lot of great games. If he were on a contending team, he could get them the big win.

                            Home - 20 HR

                            Away - 23 HR

Doesn't seem to matter where he's pitching. He just appears to give up the long ball frequently.

Edit: BTW--Cinci should still trade Kearns to ATL for Horacio Ramirez.

I agree, Ramirez is underrated, and he's a lefty. I like his arm.
