word from a friend in LA is that Perez had no 'heart' and imploded in the big games, so they weren't going to mortage the stadium to keep him.

According to MLB.com there is no meeting between Perez and Omar Minaya. The Associated Press reports that Perez told them that Minaya was coming to the Dominicon Rebublic to meet with him and his agent Fern Cuza (who also represents Pedro Martinez), Minaya says he has no plans to go to the D.R. anytime soon and says the he is happy with the Mets rotation the way it is now.
Cuza says talks between the two sides will continue.
