Lol, Russell Martin's last 3 games had him coach, catch and now pitch. What's next? Going little league style, finding out the ump can't make game so he volunteers to take over?

Someone should make a "**** Your Shift" shirt for Freddie.

Still, I know what you're saying. He intentionally goes that way quite often as a result of them shifting. If they didn't shift, he wouldn't do that nearly as much, even by accident.

I think he’s made it clear he’ll wait back and go the other way at will. Just seems odd that they keep shifting...he literally beat it 3 times yesterday.

No, I understand. I think they're also saying though that they'll take that over him homering to right field, or something.

I don't know why they do, either. In fact, maybe I'm just more and more cognizant of it because I really want a rule to come in place for it, but I saw way more players beat shifts the past few days (mostly righties) than I often see.

            From MLB Stats Twitter:

Josh Hader of the @Brewers has thrown 30 pitches this season - and every single one has been a fastball.

Batters have swung 22 times against it so far. The results:

            - Swing-and-miss: 18
            - Foul ball: 2
            - Ball in play: 2

Austin Meadows off to a fantastic start, hitting another homer, this time left on lefty. With Glasnow looking so good yesterday, that Archer trade is looking like having Shelby Miller type value, that's before Shane Baz even gets going.

Same, but at the same time it just seems a good thing that the Giants will be facing a righty starter. I'm very surprised they weren't going to throw their fourth lefty.

I’m over Christian Yelich. Someone give him a day old hotdog or something so he gets a tummy ache and can’t play.

Watching the Blue Jays "offense" is like watching paint dry. Thank God for the pitching early on.

Haha right? I was really surprised they called Margeviscious up because he's another lefty and hasn't pitched at high levels. Thought they would go with Quantrill to get a righty in there.

No no, you mean Mookie Betts.

Anyway, I'm still so upset the Giants never went for him that past offseason. They were going for "more known" names like Stanton and McCutchen, when Yelich was my first choice, and Jon Jay after that lol. I cared very little about the other two.
