    Wainwright should've retired.

As much of a great Cardinals pitcher he's been, it's clear that his best days are way behind him. It's a shame having to see a once great pitcher looking like crap.

Anywho, Jays start a series against the O's surely the bats will come alive.

Yikes, Carpenter just got tossed for arguing balls and strikes in the 11th inning, and the Cards don't have much of a bench left.

              Molina played 3rd

              I don’t know why pirates didn’t bunt towards 3rd

Thankfully the pass ball glitch led us to victory lol

I saw a good chunk of that bottom of the 1st in Atlanta....The Cubs problems may be far worse than their pitching. That's some real crummy defense out there.

This was the first game they've made an error. It's definitely the pitching (and hitting this game).

It's gong to be the pitching all year.

Defense is fine, add the lineup will hit.

Unwillingness to address the pitching staff rather than patch it is now an albatross.

Nothing left on the farm to trade...value continuing to decline on Russell and Schwarber as trade pieces...if the team is in the hunt in July, they're going to have to make some tough decisions.

Chatwood or Dervish or Morrow is going to face to turn a corner...and they're going to far to how the stars align for the rest of the rotation. The pen car return to form fast enough. It'd be nice if we could count on Monty and Chatwood, but...

Meanwhile, Hayward seems to have the green light to ground out for the rest of his career...though his bat can be hidden if the rest of the lineup produces.

This is disappointing moreso for the lack of mental toughness and resiliency than anything. They've obviously given up for the night

Disgusting luck tonight by the Braves. Shockingly doesn't go that way typically.

Cubs defense doing their best 2018 Phillies impression. Brutal.

Speaking of brutal, insane that the Indians had to work so hard after Clevinger's incredible start. What a waste. Should have gotten the win on his record. I guess that's why those don't matter much?

Nothing like getting doubled off second base in the 9th inning of an 8-0 game to end this one. Fitting.

I'm really heartened by all these internal improvements I'm seeing from this Cubs team. Joe Maddon really has them playing with an edge.

The Cubs have talent and they’ll come around, I think. That said, you have to be concerned with the lack of any type of focus/urgency so early in the season. Maybe Maddon isn’t the right guy with the right message?
