So I constructed more rules in this post that would technically require more strategy. More strategy doesn't always equate to good rule. It just depends on what you're willing to work with and what you're not.

Anyway, what I never liked is AL fans telling us to put in DH. NL fans aren't telling you guys to remove DH, and we wouldn't want you to anyway. If the ultimate compromise was that during any interleague/WS game that the DH rule was in effect, and that allowed the NL to keep the DH for the foreseeable future (aka my lifetime), then I would be accepting of that. I wouldn't prefer it, but I'll absolutely settle there.
I've definitely seen a small handful of posts on here in the past that have said "If anything, the AL should get rid of it and pitchers should bat all the time".

Ouch. I am not for that at all. I like both leagues having their little "thing," even if it was the dugout thing I mentioned before. I watch Boston all the time, and wouldn't have it any other way than have them bat a designated hitter.

I mean, if I had to choose between one and the other, since I watch NL ball more I would have to choose no DH. Can't we just keep them as is, though?

A few of the Brewers pitchers have it the ball well this year too.

I'm a long time NL fan and like XD stated, there are a few strategy elements that would be taken away from the NL.

Laureano has an incredible arm that keeps getting tested.

If Bogaerts hits his ball one foot to the left or two feet higher, this is a tie game. I'm not upset for him pushing toward third base, but I also don't know if he knew who was in CF lol. He also should have been sprinting out of the box.

You play on the field, you bat.

Play the game on one side, you play the game on the other.

You suck at batting? How about don't suck then.

You know, I was just thinking with the three-batter rule, this is really going to stifle some managers at times who want to get their closers saves in 'that' ninth inning situation when he doesn't start the inning... like what Roberts is about to do with Jansen.

Good, I say! If not, my next rule change is to eliminate the save statistic.

                    LOL Adam Jones.

In other words, the Giants are doing business against Jansen.

One silver lining to having him come in a save situation... means it's also a blown save situation.

EDIT: ****ing fat Pablo. You had one job.

For the first time in the history of the Athletics (since 1901), they won a game 1-0 with the only run coming from a home run in the first inning.

Way to attempt to take this game right out of the Padres' hands, Blue.

Which parts qualify for the "first time?" Every part, including the home run coming in the first inning?

You know, Jansen getting a save for his work in the ninth inning is just asinine to me. When he enters contract negotiations and gets to say "See that number?" and it's one more than it probably should be, it'll just get him that much more money for being that less competent in his outing. That stat really needs to be re-evaluated, or at least re-prioritized.

Okay, I mean I wasn't sure if you were just including that first inning bit as commentary for when it happened. That seems awfully particular to the effect that I'm sure many teams haven't done that before, that's all why I didn't know. I guess the A's must have done it in their other innings before, then...

I mean, the info was literally all there. By saying it was the first time following a home run in the first, one could deduce that it's happened in other innings. And by saying it was the first time in Athletics history, one could deduce that other teams have done it before.
