Another early departure today - Ryu leaves the Dodgers-Cards game in the bottom of the second due to apparent injury.

I wonder what the record is for walking opposing pitchers for a team is.

So I see all these bullpens struggling, Cubs, Nationals etc. Like, how much is Kimbrel actually asking for?

Like is he still asking (reportedly) for that 6 year, 100M contract?

I mean, what the heck. Are teams going to wait until the comp pick thing is gone? Does he want to fire his agent but think he's in too deep now?

***Btw, I think he is a tad overrated at this point.

So nothing has been done to make hitting the ball easier. If they have the ability to swing at the right time in the right place and make solid contact, they should absolutely be rewarded with that ball going over the fence.

EDIT: And when I say we're slightly ahead of last year's pace, it's only by a day. There's been 354 home runs, and we're 13 days into the season. Last year we hit 354 on the 14th day.
You have quite a nice straw man here, my friend. Nobody is devaluing the awesome and uncanny skill of crushing a baseball with a wooden stick at the MLB level. But, I just don't see the need of having a baseball that performs so much differently and is wound tighter/made to different specs than before (despite what MLB would have you believe about the consistency).

7-0 to begin this half of the inning

                Now 7-6

Julio has just started leaving some phat pitches over the plate.

Julio Teheran is such an enigma...I just don't know if he'll ever be what he should.

Mariners on pace to go 135-27, and Vogelbach currently has a 2.120 OPS, both of which are totally 100% sustainable. LETS GOOOOOO!!!

Trout just robbed Yelich of a homerun according to the Brewers feed I'm listening to.

For a second, I thought Minter coughed up another homer.

Yup, by his logic we may as well use aluminium bats, considering they are the same size as wooden bats so it apparently won't help much
