Re: 3/28 - 4/14 Game Discussion Thread
Haha I know, but the obviousness is part of the eye-rolling I am doing whilst making that post. It is sad that we have closers simply for save situations. Are the Padres seriously afraid that the Giants are going to score three more runs with three outs left, even with Maton still out there? They have shown absolutely nothing to indicate that, and they aren't in a part of the lineup that would make this even a curiosity. Yates had to be put in before an out was made, because then unless the tying run came on deck (which it has now), the save situation would have been nullified.
That's not to say they can't tie it though, and I'm hoping that they do of course. But Yates is only in there to get his save, and it's pathetic that managers still work their pitchers to that statistic or that we hold any real value in it over any other hold.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: 3/28 - 4/14 Game Discussion Thread
The Mariners have just learned the hard way that Hunter Strickland can't pitch to lefties.
Also, what was Healy doing throwing to home when that player wasn't a force out and he wasn't the tying run? It ended up not hurting them, but it could have extremely badly.
Anyway, shades of last year with Belt striking out looking on a high pitch out of the zone. Good eye, I say.Last edited by Blzer; 03-30-2019, 12:21 AM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Archie Bradley ****ing sucks. Never seen that guy ever do anything positive.
Good job Mariners. Losers.
And the Giants got jobbed in that top of the 9th. Hard. Umps falling for all those flops by Hedges. Heinous.Comment

Matt Andriese just saved the hell out of this game.
Bases juiced, shot up the middle and the guy pulls off the miraculous behind the back grab.Comment

Glad to see that MLB Network is continuing their process of ****ing up Quick Pitch.
More narratives, more stats, more analysis and less and less plays from each game.

Early days of Quick Pitch were amazing. Like watching condensed games almost.
They should have a like 2 hour block late late night to show condensed games, actually.
But it's still the best show on TV regardless.Comment

Goldy continues his Miller Park hot streak, he hits around .400 at Miller Park.
Not one pitcher could stop him last night.
And no more 162-0 season for the Brew Crew.
Let's see what Woodruff brings to the table tonight.Comment

Flops? You mean perfect pitch framing. What the hell is a flop in baseball. But yes those were balls.
